It's been less than 12 hours since a piano donated to the people of Handsworth was allegedly stolen and taken away.
It was dropped off at the corner of Church Vale by Handsworth Helping Hands, a local litter-picking group.
In less than an hour, residents were spotted huddled around the piano, playing tunes and chatting.
That all ended today when it was revealed that the instrument had been taken away overnight.
Fly-tipping in the area and throughout Birmingham was the inspiration behind the piano's placement.
They hoped that people would play it, fall in love with the public space, and then take better care of it.
